The new windows 10 windows taskbar news and weather is showing in another language unreadable to me - japanese maybe and I cant change it. I have checked online, and see that if i go into the three dots But, this icon and option does not display on mine.

In the settings, it is correct UK, english etc but the widget is wrong. Please help me fix this. Similar thing keeps happening to me. This is probably due to some smuck at Microsoft thinking it was a good idea to base the language for this widget on where your IP is located, instead of just using the system language you have in Windows. For me, connecting to the детальнее на этой странице VPN this morning, which happens to be based in Finland, I got the news and weather in Finnish, eventhough Как сообщается здесь located in Sweden.

I honestly don't know how this "feature" was able to pass acception in the design meetings, I mean - someone must've asked "if I weather gadget for windows 10 abroad with my Windows laptop, let's say I go to Spain on vacation, and connect to the hotels WIFI - do I really want the news and weather forecast to show up in Spanish? Or would I rather have it the same language as when I'm at home? Really curious as to why this happens! Literally was freaking out. Mine's in Dutch or German. I just logged in here and it fixed itself partially. So it's just a weird blip. Mine just changed to Chinese and I freaked out because I work for a Chinese company and I thought I was being spied on.
